The early years are a very important time in any child’s life, and play is an essential part of learning. Through play children learn to explore, examine and question the world around them. They learn to communicate with, and value, others. These are the essential foundations to future learning – and if we can ensure that children enjoy the experiences we can foster a lifelong desire to learn. With this in mind the focus of the nursery is based around the concept of ‘learning through play’. The sessions are structured to include both independent play and adult directed activities, both indoors and out.
