Our Nursery

Ivegill Nursery opened in September 1991 (as Inglewood Nursery) and is run independently by a charitable trust. It is registered for children aged 2 - 5 years and is open during school terms. We also run a music session for accompanied babies and toddlers once a week. The Nursery is self contained within the school but is very much ‘part’ of the school. The nursery is set in a classroom attached to the main Ivegill School building. We have our own designated entrance, cloakroom and a secure outdoor area. It is well suited for use as a Nursery with a wall of low level windows giving open views and good natural lighting. The room itself is divided into learning areas, where children can access, and tidy resources independently.

Outdoors

Children have access to the outdoor area throughout the year. Our secure outdoor area allows us to spend a large proportion of our time outside, if the children wish to do so. We realise that some children feel more comfortable and confident outdoors, so we have designed our outside area to offer a rich learning environment. Also the children enjoy chatting to the school children through the fence!

Please see our Outdoors policy.
